2025 Legislative Days at the Capitol

The Independent Funeral Directors of Florida (IFDF) proudly hosts its annual Legislative Days in Tallahassee on March 18^th & 19^th, an event that empowers funeral professionals to advocate for their profession. This event brings together funeral professionals, industry leaders, and stakeholders to engage directly with lawmakers, share insights, and influence policies affecting the funeral services industry.

Legislative Days offers attendees the opportunity to meet with state legislators and policymakers, ensuring that the priorities of independent funeral directors are heard. Participants gain a deeper understanding of the legislative process and the key issues impacting their profession. By fostering critical connections, this event strengthens the voice of the industry and helps shape its future.

We will kick off the event with a Board of Directors meeting.  Afterwards, an orientation session will be held to prepare attendees for legislative meetings. This session highlights key legislative priorities, provides updates on current bills, and offers advocacy tips. Whether new to advocacy or experienced, attendees leave equipped for impactful discussions with decision-makers.

A networking reception offers the chance to connect with colleagues, industry leaders, and legislators in a casual setting. Additionally, attendees can observe legislative hearings, gaining firsthand insight into how proposed legislation is debated and shaped.
