Berkshire Life (formerly The Guardian) continues to offer own-occupation definition of disability – a funeral director is considered totally disabled if he or she can’t do the substantial and material duties of his or her regular occupation.
With Retirement Protection Plus, a new disability plan, you can protect your retirement. If you become disabled, this policy pays benefits equal to your monthly plan contribution into a special interest-earning trust. Your retirement planning is uninterrupted – and the proceeds come to you when you are 65.
LIFE INSURANCE
IFDF Insurance Services Division offers term life insurance plans from the top carriers. You can lock in premiums for 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 years. They will not increase during this time – guaranteed. LONG-TERM CARE
A long-term-care policy helps protect your independence and your assets by paying for the cost of a stay in a nursing home, assisted-living facility, adult day-care center or home care. Long-term care insurance provides funding for your care if you cannot care for yourself. About 43 percent of Americans who live to age 65 will enter a nursing home or need care at home.
